The Orlando Department of Travel and Tourism , better known as the Orlando Convention and Visitors Bureau was started in 1983 as a non-profit representing all of the businesses in the Orlando and Orange County travel and tourism industry. There are more than 1,450 private businesses that are members.
Orlando is a leading travel destination featuring world-class attractions, theme parks and restaurants.
The Orlando Department of Travel and Tourism works to promote Orlando as one of the top destinations for families in the world. With Disney, Seaworld, Gatorland are all hot spots, but there are many more.
Beyond families, Orlando is also a big draw for the convention circuit as well. The Convention and Visitors Bureau works to bring some of the largest conventions to Orlando bringing millions of dollars in to Orlando.
